• Will I be refused travel if I don’t wear a face covering?
    • No, you'll not be refused travel for not wearing a face covering.

  • Will I be able to pick up a face covering from the train station or on the bus?
    • While some of the shops in and near the train and bus stations may sell face coverings, transport operators don’t provide face coverings onboard.

  • What if I experience anti-social behaviour for not wearing a face covering?
    • Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated on our public transport network for any reason, and as part of our ‘Travel Safer’ campaign we’re asking everyone to be respectful of one another.

If you do experience any anti-social behaviour, please notify one of our colleagues as soon as possible. We’re also continuing to work closely with the British Transport Police (BTP) to keep the network safe. You can contact BTP directly on 0800 40 50 40 or you can discretely text them on 61016.
