Travelling with us on match day?
Some important information if you’re heading to the game by coach
It’s no secret that we love the game here in Wales, it’s a big part of our national culture. Our services are likely to be extremely busy on match days, with thousands expected to travel into Cardiff to watch Wales play.
We’ve been working with coach operators to provide extra capacity on some routes. This is so we’re able to get all our customers to the game and home again, safely.
If you’re travelling with us by coach on match day, there’re a few steps we’re asking you to follow for the comfort and convenience of everyone on the coach.
Your coach ticket
Your ticket lets the coach operator know we’ve arranged transport to the game for you. Please have it to hand at all times for inspection. You should also carry proof of ID in case this is required.
Your ticket won’t be valid if it’s defaced, damaged or lost – so please keep it safe. It’s also non-transferable.
Under the age of 16?
If you’re under 16, you must be accompanied by a responsible adult, aged 18 or above. We know this might be frustrating, but it’s the policy of the coach operator and we can’t arrange coach travel for you otherwise.
One responsible adult can accompany a maximum of three under 16s.
We’ll need written parental consent to allow anyone aged under 16 to travel without an accompanying adult. Our postal address can be found on our website here.
Please arrive in good time
Please be at your boarding point at least 15 minutes before your confirmed departure time when you travel to the game (and when heading home).
The coach can’t wait for you if you’re late and we can’t provide a refund or reimburse additional costs if you miss it.
When you’re on the coach
There’s often a buzz in the air when we’re heading to the game. We know it’s an exciting time and we want everyone to enjoy themselves. At the same time, please be mindful of your fellow passengers when you’re on the coach and follow any instructions given by the driver or your ambassador.
If you need to use your phone or an electronic device, please do this considerately.
Lots of people like a drink on match day, but we’re asking that you wait until you’re at the game before consuming alcohol. Smoking and drinking onboard is against the law, so please don’t do this.
For the safety of everyone onboard, we’re asking that you don’t bring any pyrotechnics, flares, smoke bombs, or anything that emits smoke or gas on to the coach.
Please conduct yourself respectfully at all times. We won’t tolerate abusive, violent or threatening behaviour directed at passengers or the driver. We may report incidents of this to the police and will ban those responsible from our coach services.
Can I claim a refund if I can’t travel?
You’re entitled to a full refund if you’re unable to attend the game for any reason. Please be aware that your refund won’t include the cost of any booking fee you may have paid.
To claim a refund, you’ll need to return your ticket at least 24 hours before the date of the match. You can make your refund request using the Eventbrite booking form.
We’ll usually refund your ticket if your coach service can’t run. However, we may not be able to provide a refund or compensation if your service is cancelled because of circumstances beyond our control. These include:
- Accidents causing delays to the service
- Traffic delays
- Exceptional weather conditions
- Postponement to fixtures on route
- Problems caused by passengers which force us to terminate the service
- A request from the police or security services
We’ll keep you posted about any changes to your journey on Eventbrite so please keep an eye on this.
