Overview

The Fairwater region of Cardiff is served by this station opened in 1987 to handle the City Line’s passenger service which carries nearly 100,000 people every year.

The area known as Fairwater lies to the western edge of Cardiff and is served by a total of 3 stations, the others being Danescourt and Waun-Gron Park to the south. Several famous sportsmen originate from this area of Cardiff, including the international rugby union player Terry Holmes, and John Toshack, the former Welsh football manager. Lying just a short hop from Cardiff, why not use Fairwater as your base to explore all that the city has to offer?
