Overview

Serving the charming town of Pembroke, the station was opened in the summer of 1863, with the line being extended to Pembroke Dock a year later. The original buildings were constructed from limestone and included a roof of contrasting slate tiles and a trio of matching decorative chimney stacks. Ornate glass canopies were added in the first years of the 20th century, giving the large station a grand appearance. In the 1970s, however, the buildings were demolished, and a new glass shelter erected.

Just a quick stroll from Pembroke Castle, this historic attraction set within the ancient walled town is one reason why 7 million people visit this glorious area every year.
