Due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time between Llanelli (LLE) and Shrewsbury (SHR):
We expect the incident to last until 12:00 and disruption to services is expected from 05:13 until 12:00.
We have been made aware of more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time, affecting services between Llanelli and Shrewsbury via the Heart of Wales.
As a result, the below services have been amended as follows;
- 04:46 Carmarthen to Shrewsbury service (via the Heart of Wales) will now start at Llandrindod.
- 05:54 Shrewsbury to Swansea (via the Heart of Wales) will now terminate at Llandrindod.
- 07:29 Swansea to Shrewsbury (via the Heart of Wales) will now terminate at Llandovery.
Our services between Llanelli and Shrewsbury via the Heart of Wales are disrupted in both directions.
We expect the incident to be cleared by 13:15. Train services may be disrupted until 13:15.
Alternative Travel Options:
We have organised buses to run between Llandovery and Shrewsbury, and between Llandrindod and Swansea to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at:
- Llandovery at approximately 06:37 provided by Glyn's, calling all stops to Llandrindod. AC Jenkins will operate the remainder of the journey from Llandrindod to Shrewsbury.
- Llandrindod at approximately 07:29 provided by AC Jenkins, calling all stops to Swansea.
- Llandovery calling all stops to Llandrindod approximately 09:10 provided by AC Jenkins
These arrangements are in place on services until 09:10
