Update: Incident due to a broken down train between Aberdare Platform 1 (ABA) and Mountain Ash (MTA) until 08:30.

Due to a broken down train between Aberdare Platform 1 (ABA) and Mountain Ash (MTA):

Services may be cancelled in both directions between Aberdare Platform 1 (ABA) and Mountain Ash (MTA).

We expect the incident to last until 08:30 and disruption to services is expected until 10:30.

Pay As You Go

If you're using Pay As You Go, don't forget to tap out if you abandon your journey or use an alternative service or mode of transport.

Customers can use local bus services between Aberdare and Pontypridd to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost:

  • 25, 60 and 61 Stagecoach services.

You can use these services until 11:59

We apologise that our Pay As You Go cannot be used on local bus operators.

We advise passengers to tap out at the earliest opportunity.

We have road transport running between Aberdare and Mountain Ash provided by Keepings, to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost.

Services will depart at the following times:

Aberdare XX:23 and XX:53 starting at 7:53

Mountain Ash XX:24 and XX:54 starting at 7:24

Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
