Due to a broken down train between Yorton (YRT) and Shrewsbury (SHR):
Services may be delayed by up to 30 minutes.
Services may be cancelled in both directions between Crewe (CRE) and Shrewsbury (SHR).
We expect the incident to last until 16:30 and disruption to services is expected until 19:30.
What's Happened?
A train has broken down between Yorton and Shrewsbury meaning services in the area are subject to disruption and may delayed. This is currently affecting our services between Crewe and Shrewsbury.
The affected train has now been moved however we expect residual delays of up to 30 minutes and services may still be subject to disruption until 19:30.
Our 15:19 Crewe to Shrewsbury and 16:16 Shrewsbury to Crewe have been cancelled. These services will be replaced by buses.
Alternative Travel Options:
We have organised buses to run between Crewe and Shrewsbury to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at Crewe at approximately 15:19 provided by Northwich and Shrewsbury at approximately 16:16 provided by Lakeside.
Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
