Due to a road vehicle colliding with level crossing barriers between Nantwich (NAN) and Crewe (CRE):
Services may be delayed by up to 30 minutes.
Services may be cancelled in both directions between Shrewsbury (SHR) and Crewe (CRE).
We expect the incident to last until 19:00 and disruption to services is expected until 19:00.
The problem has now been rectified and services are able to run.
Residual delays and cancellations can be expected until 19:00.

Alternative Travel Options
Your ticket can be used on the following alternative routes to help you complete your journey, with the Train Operating Companies listed below at no extra cost:
- Avanti West Coast between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly
- Northern services between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly.
These arrangements are in place on services until 19:00.
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.

We have organised buses to run between Shrewsbury and Crewe to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost.
The Crewe all stops to Shrewsbury Rail replacement service will arrive at Crewe at approximately 16:30 provided by Pats Coaches.
The Shrewsbury all stops to Crewe Rail replacement service will arrive at Shrewsbury at approximately 16:30 provided by Cymru Coaches.
These arrangements are in place on services until 18:30.
Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
