1. St Brides Spa Hotel, Saundersfoot
Location: Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire
Closest station: Saundersfoot railway station
St Brides sits on a cliff top overlooking a harbour. The outdoor hydrotherapy pool is the star of the show. It's heated and gives you panoramic views of the bay. Soak in the warm water, switch off and watch the boats drift below.
Saundersfoot station is the nearest stop. It’s located just over a mile from the hotel, so you may want to take a taxi. Tenby railway station is about three miles away.

2. The Quay Hotel & Spa, Deganwy
Location: Deganwy, North Wales

The Quay offers modern luxury and great views. It overlooks the marina and Conwy Estuary. This four-star retreat feels like a hidden haven, but it's very easy to reach. Watch the North Wales coast pass by your window and go straight to the Marina Spa. You can use the indoor pool or gym if you fancy.

3. The Rock Spa at the Metropole Hotel
Location: Llandrindod Wells, Mid Wales

Llandrindod Wells is a famous spa town and The Metropole is known for its warm Welsh hospitality. The Rock Spa has an 18-metre heated indoor pool and a thermal whirlpool. The sauna is perfect for clearing your head.

5. Voco St David’s Cardiff

The spa at Voco St David’s is a stylish city-centre retreat. It has iconic views over the waterfront and a hydrotherapy pool with swan-neck fountains. What’s the best way to get to a remote spa without a car?
Many of the best retreats in Wales are just a short walk or taxi ride from our stations. If you're heading somewhere a bit further out, like the Vale Resort, you can hop off the train at Pontyclun and take a taxi for the last few miles.
Are there discounts for group travel to a spa?
