We have been made aware of a low speed derailment involving a freight train in the Wolverhampton area.
As a result, our services will be unable to run between Shrewsbury and Birmingham International until end of service today.
Our services between Shrewsbury and Birmingham International are disrupted in both directions.
Please be aware that West Midlands Railway are also affected by this incident. You can check your journey with any operator at tfw.wales.
We expect the incident to be cleared by 23:59. Train services will be disrupted until 23:59.
Alternative Travel Options:
We have organised buses to run between Shrewsbury and Birmingham International to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at
- Shrewsbury at approximately 21:45 provided by Lakeside, calling all stops to Birmingham International.
- Shrewsbury at approximately 23:00 provided by TNS, calling all stops to Birmingham New Street.
- Birmingham International at approximately 21:45 provided by Bouden, calling all stops to Shrewsbury.
- Birmingham International at approximately 23:16 provided by Arden Travel and Aeras Travel, calling all stops to Shrewsbury.
These arrangements are in place on services until 23:16.
