Pay as you go - travel smarter with your Train Brain
Contactless pay as you go is already making train travel easier on TfW and CrossCountry services on the South Wales Metro. Instead of buying tickets, you can simply tap in and out using a contactless card or smart device.

Change your ticket for free
If you’ve bought an Advance ticket using the TfW app, you can amend the date and time of travel up until 18:00 the day before you travel.
Unlike some train apps, we don’t charge a fee for making these changes. Enjoy more flexibility and have one less thing to worry about if your plans change.
