Due to a fault with the signalling system between Chester (CTR) and Crewe (CRE):
Services will be cancelled in both directions between Chester (CTR) and Crewe (CRE).
We expect the incident to last until 15:00 and disruption to services is expected until 15:00.
What's Happened?
We have been made aware of a signalling problem between Chester and Crewe:
As a result, train services will not be able to run through the area until the signalling system is working normally.
Our colleagues at Network Rail are aware of the problem and technicians are currently en route to the affected signalling.
We will publish more information here, once we have received an update from the infrastructure technicians.

We have organised buses to run between Chester and Crewe to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at Chester at approximately 05:30 and at Crewe at approximately 06:15 provided by Keans Coaches.
These arrangements are in place on services until 10:30.
Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
