About Liverpool Lime Street

Serving the city of Liverpool since 1836, Lime Street is the world's oldest terminus still in operation, and the busiest of Liverpool's four station s. With numbers well in excess of 14 million passengers annually, the station 's rebuild in the early 2000s was long overdue. As part of Liverpool's Capital of Culture in 2008, the station won Station of the Year 2010.

In the heart of the city, its impressive architecture is a stylish mix of new and old. Golden bricks form an avenue of glorious arches, topped by a curved glass and iron roof. Retail outlets were incorporated as part of the £340 million remodelling programme, along with improved platform access, and a high-tech signalling system. All a far cry from the cattle market that once stood on the same spot. There are lots of things to do in Liverpool. Why not visit Liverpool with us today?
