Due to police dealing with an incident near the railway between Shrewsbury (SHR) and Machynlleth (MCN):
Services may be delayed by up to 60 minutes.
Services may be cancelled in both directions between Shrewsbury (SHR) and Machynlleth (MCN).
We expect the incident to last until 20:00 and disruption to services is expected until 21:00.
Following the incident, the line is now clear and has reopened for train services to run. The first train expected to depart Machynlleth is the 20:11 to Birmingham International and the first train from Shrewsbury the 20:32 to Aberystwyth.
We have organised buses to standby at Shrewsbury and Machynlleth to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These are provided by Lakeside, Lloyds, and Keanes coaches.
These arrangements are in place on services until further notice.
Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
