Due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Cheltenham Spa (CNM):
Services will be cancelled in both directions between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Cheltenham Spa (CNM).
We expect the incident to last until 17:00 and disruption to services is expected until 20:00.
What's Happened?
Due to a shortage of trains, fewer trains are able to run between Cardiff Central and Cheltenham Spa in both direcitons.
We apologise for the disruption caused to your journey.
Alternative Travel Options
Customers at Cardiff Central are advised to travel on the 18:18 Great Western Railway service towards London Paddington and alight at Newport where replacement road transport has been sourced to run towards Cheltenham Spa.
We have organised buses to run between Newport and Cheltenham Spa to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will depart Newport in the direction of Cheltenham Spa at approximately 18:40 provided by J Davies and Teulu and will depart at Cheltenham Spa at approximately 19:40 in the direction of Cardiff Central provided by JKT Coaches.
These arrangements are in place on services until 21:00.
Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
