Due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time between Welshpool (WLP) and Aberystwyth (AYW):
We expect the incident to last until 10:30 and disruption to services is expected from 06:45 until 10:30.
What's Happened?
Due to a shortage of trains at Machynlleth Depot, we have fewer trains available to run today's service.
Our engineers are working hard to bring trains back into service as quickly as possible.
The following services have been cancelled and replacement road transport is in place.
- 06:48 Welshpool to Aberystwyth - road transport will be provided by Lakeside between Welshpool and Machynlleth. Customers travelling between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth are advised to travel on our next available train service. Road transport will depart Welshpool at approximately 07:00.
- 08:27 Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury - road transport will be provided by Lloyds and will depart on time from Aberystwyth at 08:27.
These arrangements are in place until 10:30. You can use your ticket on the bus at no extra cost.
Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
