We’re building your Access for All footbridge
Work to build the new Access for All footbridge is underway at Taff’s Well railway station. Combined with the introduction of our Metro tram-trains with level boarding, accessibility will be significantly improved for our customers.
This footbridge will be located in the middle of the station and include both lift and stair access to the platforms, replacing the current bridge at the southern end.
We’re installing the foundations for the bridge using heavy machinery which unfortunately does make a lot of noise. We plan to complete this work during the daytime and will do our best to reduce the impact it will have on people living near the station.
During this work, the station car park will be closed to the public. However, alternative parking (80 spaces) will be available in the overflow facility situated next to the Amey Rail warehouse opposite the station, next to the new Metro depot.
