Due to an object being caught on the overhead electric wires between Crewe (CRE) and Manchester Piccadilly (MAN):

Services may be cancelled in both directions between Crewe (CRE) and Manchester Piccadilly (MAN).

We expect the incident to last until 14:30 and disruption to services is expected from 07:00 until 16:00.

We have been made aware of an object being caught on the overhead electric wires between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly. For safety, train services are unable to run through the area. Our services between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly are disrupted.


Alternative Travel Options:

Your ticket can be used on the following alternative routes to help you complete your journey, with the Train Operating Companies listed below at no extra cost:


Between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly via Stoke-on-Trent with West Midlands Railway and Avanti West Coast.


These arrangements are in place on services until further notice.


If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.

We expect the incident to be cleared by 17:00.


Train services may be cancelled or delayed in the area until approximately 19:00

Update: Incident due to a tree blocking the railway between Shrewsbury (SHR) and Llanelli (LLE) until 23:59.

Due to a tree blocking the railway between Shrewsbury (SHR) and Llanelli (LLE):

Services may be delayed.

Services may be cancelled in both directions between Swansea (SWA) and Shrewsbury (SHR).

We expect the incident to last until 23:59 and disruption to services is expected from 07:00 until 23:59.

Network Rail have reported several trees blocking the railway between Llanelli and Shrewsbury and closed the railway to all services.


For safety, train services are unable to run on the Heart of Wales route between Swansea and Shrewsbury in both directions

.

Our services between Swansea and Shrewsbury on the Heart of Wales line are disrupted in both directions.


We don't expect the incident to be cleared by the end of the day. Train services will be cancelled on the route between Shrewsbury and Swansea until the end of they day.


We are currently trying to source road transport to run between Shrewsbury and Llanelli in both directions.
