Amended early morning trains in the Swansea / Carmarthen areas on Monday 30 September
Engineering work is taking place between Swansea and Carmarthen, closing all lines early on Monday morning.
As a result:
- The 04:47 Carmarthen to Llandovery service will be amended to start from Swansea at 04:52. Two replacement buses will run, one direct to Llanelli (connecting with the 05:13 Llanelli to Llandovery service), and one stopping at all stations.
- The 04:50 Carmarthen to Milford Haven will be replaced by 2 buses, one calling at Whitland, Haverfordwest and Johnston only, and one stopping at all stations.
- The 05:54 Milford Haven to Cardiff Central service will start from Carmarthen at 06:52. A replacement bus will run from Milford Haven at 05:02 to Carmarthen, calling at all stations. A second bus will run from Milford Haven to Carmarthen at 05:22 (direct). Both buses will connect with the train.

As a result:

Buses replace evening trains between Wrexham Central / Wrexham General and Bidston from Monday 9 to Thursday 12 September
Engineering work is taking place between Wrexham General and Bidston, closing all lines on Monday to Thursday evenings.
As a result, the following trains will be replaced by buses:
- 19:45 Wrexham General to Bidston (Birkenhead North)
- 20:46 Bidston (dep: Birkenhead North at 20:36) to Wrexham Central
- 21:52 Wrexham Central to Bidston (Birkenhead North)
- 22:58 Bidston (dep: Birkenhead North at 22:48) to Wrexham General
Buses will run to / from Birkenhead North due to improved accessibility at that station.
An additional rail replacement bus will also be provided for customers looking to connect onto the 23:34 Merseyrail service from Birkenhead North to Liverpool Central, departing Wrexham Central at 21:12.
No rail replacement buses will call at Hawarden Bridge because of poor road access. For Hawarden Bridge, you should use Shotton instead, which is approximately 0.6 miles away along National Cycle Route 5.

- The 09:38 Bristol Temple Meads to Worcester Shrub Hill service will depart from Gloucester and beyond up to 35 minutes later than usual.

Amended service via Cardiff Queen Street from Sunday 27 October to Friday 1 November
Engineering work is taking place at Cardiff Queen Street, closing some lines.
Trains from Treherbert, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil will divert between Radyr and Cardiff Central, not stopping at Llandaf, Cathays and Cardiff Queen Street.
Buses will replace trains between Radyr and Cardiff Central via Llandaf, Cathays and Cardiff Queen Street.
Daytime services between Pontypridd and Cardiff Central will decrease to 3 per hour on Sunday and 6 per hour from Monday to Saturday.
Ninian Park, Waun-gron Park, Fairwater and Danescourt will continue to be served by trains with frequency levels unchanged compared to the regular timetable.
Services between Cardiff Central and Treherbert, Aberdare and Merthyr Tydfil will arrive and depart from Cardiff Central at different times to usual.
Buses will replace trains between Rhymney, Bargoed and Caerphilly and Cardiff Central from Sunday to Friday.
Ticket acceptance will be in place with Cardiff Bus between Cardiff city centre and Coryton and Cardiff Bay.
Services between Penarth and Cardiff Central will operate at a reduced frequency from Monday to Friday (half-hourly day time).
Services from Barry Island and Bridgend via Rhoose Cardiff International Airport to Rhymney, Bargoed and Caerphilly will terminate and start at Cardiff Central.
Please note that Barry Island and Bridgend services will be further affected on Sunday 27 October due to separate engineering work between Cardiff Central and Bridgend via Pontyclun, operating at reduced and altered frequencies to accommodate diverted trains.

Buses replace late night trains between Severn Tunnel Junction and Gloucester / Cheltenham Spa from Monday 25 to Friday 29 November
Engineering work is taking place between Severn Tunnel Junction and Gloucester, closing all lines.
Monday to Thursday:
The 22:14 Maesteg to Gloucester service will be replaced by a bus between Severn Tunnel Junction and Gloucester.
Tuesday to Friday:
The 05:37 Cheltenham Spa to Maesteg service will be replaced by a bus between Cheltenham Spa and Severn Tunnel Junction. The replacement bus will run earlier, and will start from Cheltenham Spa at 04:40 in order to connect with the train.

Buses replace late night / early morning trains between Shrewsbury and Crewe from Monday 25 to Friday 29 November
Engineering work is taking place between Shrewsbury and Crewe, closing all lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.
Monday to Thursday:
The 21:55 Cardiff Central to Crewe service will be diverted after Shrewsbury to run via Chester. A replacement bus will run from Shrewsbury to Crewe via Nantwich.
Tuesday to Friday:
The following trains will be diverted to run via Chester instead of via Nantwich:
- The 04:54 Crewe to Cardiff Central service.
- The 05:19 Crewe to Shrewsbury service.
Replacement buses will run between Crewe and Shrewsbury via Nantwich.
Additionally, the 05:28 Shrewsbury to Crewe service will be retimed to start at 05:46 and run later throughout.

Buses replace trains between Bridgend and Cardiff Central via Pontyclun on Sunday 24 November
Engineering work is taking place between Bridgend and Cardiff Central, closing all lines.
Great Western Railway:
Trains between Bridgend and Cardiff Central will be diverted, extending journey times by approximately 30 minutes.
Trains to / from Carmarthen will run between Swansea and Carmarthen only. Trains to / from Swansea / Neath / Port Talbot Parkway / Bridgend will be retimed to run earlier or later than usual.
Transport for Wales:
Buses will replace trains between Bridgend and Cardiff Central via Pontyclun.
Trains that usually run via Pontyclun will be retimed to start earlier or later than usual, and will be diverted to run via Barry with extended journey times.

Amended late night trains between Port Talbot and Bridgend from Monday 25 to Friday 29 November
Engineering work is taking place between Port Talbot Parkway and Bridgend, closing some lines overnight from Monday evening until Saturday morning.
As a result, the following trains will be amended by a few minutes, with slightly extended journey times:
Monday to Thursday:
The 22:19 Cardiff Central to Swansea service.
Monday to Friday:
The 20:10 Tenby to Cardiff Central service.
The 22:30 Swansea to Cardiff Central service.
