Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request of 12 October 2019. You requested the following information:

• provide a copy [of December 2019’s TfW timetable] in line with your transparency undertakings

We are writing to confirm that your request has been considered under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) and that Transport for Wales (TfW) has completed its search for the information.

Transport for Wales Rail Services has not yet published its December 2019 timetable in full. This is due for publication in the next few weeks. We will alert you when it is available on TfW Rail Services’ website: https://tfw.wales/service-status/timetables.

As the information you requested is provisionally scheduled for publication in November 2019, this year at the link above, the information is therefore being withheld at this time in reliance on the exemption at section 22 of the Act which covers information intended for future publication. Section 22 of the Freedom of Information Act ‘Intended for future publication’ states that information is exempt information if:

(a) the information is held by the public authority with a view to its publication, by the authority or any other person, at some future date (whether determined or not),

(b) the information was already held with a view to such publication at the time when the request for information was made, and

(c) it is reasonable in all the circumstances that the information should be withheld from disclosure until the date referred to in paragraph (a).
