TfW FOI Request - Fairwater Ticket Machine

Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request of 09 July 2019. You requested the following information:

how long the ticket machine has been removed from Fairwater station. Specifically I am interested in learning of its status on 01/07/19?

We can confirm that we hold the information requested.

Both Ticket Vending Machines in Fairwater were removed by Arriva Trains Wales, the previous holders of the Wales and Borders franchise in 2017, because of damage from vandalism.

Transport for Wales plans to install new ticket vending machines at Fairwater station in 2020. These will be ruggerdised and have been selected based on their ability to better withstand attacks of vandalism.
