Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request from 10 September 2019. You requested the following information:

• Can you confirm it TfW are currently negotiating or have any agreement for the use of class 802’s on the new proposed South Wales to London service.
• If not has the use of this branding been authorised.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act. We can confirm that we do hold some of the information requested.

Transport for Wales is supportive of the principle of faster trains between South Wales and London. However, the Welsh Government is leading on negotiations with Grand Union Trains on their proposal to run services between South Wales and London, with Transport for Wales kept informed of developments. As a result, we do not hold information on any negotiations or agreements for the use of class 802’s on Grand Union Trains’ proposed South Wales to London service.

The use of Transport for Wales branding for the image on Grand Union Trains’ website has been authorised.
