Due to a person being hit by a train between Pontypridd (PPD) and Aberdare Platform 1 (ABA):

Services will be cancelled in both directions between Aberdare Platform 1 (ABA) and Pontypridd (PPD).

We expect the incident to last until 18:30 and disruption to services is expected until 18:30.

Update: Incident due to signalling staff being unavailable between Bridgend (BGN) and Maesteg (MST) until 17:30.

Due to signalling staff being unavailable between Bridgend (BGN) and Maesteg (MST):

Services may be delayed by up to 30 minutes.

Services will be cancelled in both directions between Bridgend (BGN) and Maesteg (MST).

We expect the incident to last until 17:30 and disruption to services is expected from 15:30 until 18:30.

We have been made aware of shortage of signalling staff a between Tondu and Maesteg. This means no trains can run through the area until replacement staff have arrived. Replacement staff are estimated to arrive at around 17:00.

Alternative Travel Options:

We have organised buses to run between Bridgend and Maesteg to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at Bridgend at approximately 16:20 provided by Davies and Jarvis.

You can use the following local bus services to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost:

Route 70 and 71 provided by First Cymru between Bridgend and Maesteg via Tondu.

These arrangements are in place on services until 17:30.

Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
