Overview
Serving the popular seaside resort of Aberdovey on the west coast of Wales, the railway takes you through some of the most glorious countryside Wales has to offer. First opening in 1867, after the tiny branch line to the harbour closed, the trains allowed Victorian holidaymakers to experience the delights of Cardigan Bay.
The wide golden sands, beautiful scenery and local attractions still draw families and watersport enthusiasts to the region, many arriving by train.
