Services may be delayed by up to 20 minutes.

Services may be cancelled in both directions between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Ebbw Vale Town (EBB).

We expect the incident to last until 10:00 and disruption to services is expected until 10:00.

Customers can use local bus services to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost:

Route 56 provided by Stagecoach South Wales between Newport and Crosskeys via Rogerstone and Ponytmister.

Route X15 provided by Stagecoach South Wales between Newport and Llanhilleth via Rogerstone, Crosskeys and Newbridge.

Route 151 provided by Stagecoach South Wales between Newport and Newbridge via Pye Corner, Rogerstone, Pontymister, Risca and Crosskeys.

Route 26 with Stagecoach between Cardiff and Ebbw Vale Town

Services may be cancelled in both directions between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Cheltenham Spa (CNM).

We expect the incident to last until the end of the day and disruption to services is expected from 06:00 until the end of the day.

Due to a shortage of trains, there will be a reduced TfW service between Cardiff Central and Cheltenham Spa.


Customers are advised to travel on the next available service or travel on the rail replacement provided for the following cancellations:

Due to the hot weather forecast, services between Crewe and Wrexham General will be reduced in both directions.


Alternative Travel Options

Customers are advised to travel on the next available service.

Customers travelling from Wrexham General to Crewe are advised to board the next service to Chester, where they can make a connection to Crewe.

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on Avanti West Coast services between Chester and Crewe in both directions until the end of the day.


Rail replacement will be provided for the 07:40 Wrexham General to Chester cancellation. This will be provided by Keanes coaches. You can use your ticket on the bus at no extra cost.


Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

Due to a member of train crew being unavailable between Swansea (SWA) and Llandovery (LLV):

Services will be cancelled in both directions between Swansea (SWA) and Llandovery (LLV).

We expect the incident to last until 08:30 and disruption to services is expected from 05:00 until 09:00.

We have organised buses to run between Swansea and Llandovery to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at Llanelli at approximately 05:27 provided by AC Jenkins. Further road transport will arrive at Llandovery at approximately 06:41 which is also provided by AC Jenkins.

Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
