Alternative Travel Options

We have limited road transport running from Welshpool to Aberystwyth at 06:48 and from Aberystwyth to Machynlleth at 08:27, both provided by Lloyds, to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost.

These arrangements are in place on services until 09:15..

Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

A Shuttle will operate servicing stations - Coryton, Whitchurch, Rhiwbina, Birchgrove, Ty Glas and Heath Low Level in both directions. For passengers wishing to travel towards Cardiff Central or Rhymney, please change at Heath Low Level and walk to Heath High Level for connecting train services.


There will be a reduced service Between Cardiff Central and Penarth due to the severe weather forcast.
