Due to a fault on a train between Wrexham Central (WXC) and Bidston (BID):

We expect the incident to last until 23:59 and disruption to services is expected from 20:47 until 23:59.

We have been made aware of a fault on a train, affecting the running of our services between Wrexham Central and Bidston.

As a result, the following services have been cancelled:

• 20:47 Bidston to Wrexham Central
• 21:52 Wrexham Central to Bidston
• 22:58 Bidston and Wrexham General

Our services between Wrexham Central and Bidston are disrupted in both directions.

We expect the incident to be cleared by 23:59. Train services will be disrupted until 23:59.

Alternative Travel Options:

We have organised buses to run between Wrexham Central and Bidston to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at:

• Wrexham Central at approximately 21:52 provided by Lakeside, calling all stops to Bidston. This service will then call additionally at Birkenhead North.
• Birkenhead North at approximately 22:58 provided by Lakeside, calling at Bidston and then all stops to Wrexham General.

These arrangements are in place on services until 23:59.

Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

Due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time between Pontypridd (PPD) and Cardiff Bay (CDB):

We expect the incident to last until 23:59 on 26/09/2026 and disruption to services is expected until 23:59 on 26/09/2026.

What's Happened?

We apologise for temporary disruption on the route between Cardiff Bay and Pontypridd.

If travelling from stations between Pontypridd and Cathays, please change at Cardiff Queen Street for services to Cardiff Bay.

Customers can use local bus services between Pontypridd and Cardiff to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost:

• 13, 24, 25 and 52 Cardiff Bus services.
• 132 Stagecoach

You can use these services until end of day on 26/09/2026.

We expect the incident to last until 15:30 and disruption to services is expected until 15:30.

Following signalling issues between Wolverhampton and Birmingham International, services are now returning to normal. Due to congestion expected in the Birmingham area following the incident, the following arrangements will remain in place until 19:00:
