Overview
On the beautiful Llŷn Peninsula in Gwynedd, lies the coastal town of Criccieth, served by the station of the same name. Opened in 1867, trains used to bring passengers from London to enjoy the sea air, however, those services stopped running many years ago. The station was sold to private investors in 2019, but many of the original features still remain, including the overhanging roof, supported by strong square columns, and the iconic lanterns with their decorative metalwork.
