Overview
Dovey Junction is on the Cambrian Line in Mid Wales. The station itself is in Powys, but is situated a mere 400 metres from the point where the counties of Ceredigion, Powys and Gwynedd meet. The station, originally called Glandovey Junction until it was renamed Dovey Junction in 1904, has served the area since 1863. This remote two platform station is near the beautiful Cardigan Bay coast, and is sited in the Dyfi National Nature reserve. It is accessed via a 0.6 mile track connecting it to the local hamlet of Glandyfi.
