Overview

Serving the Flintshire community of Hawarden, the small, unstaffed station is on the Borderlands line and was opened in March 1890.

The charming village, home to a Grade I listed medieval castle, was mentioned in the The Sunday Times’ Best Places To Live list. With a fountain in the main square, the superb landscapes of nearby Hawarden Park, and a choice of comfortable places to stay, it’s no wonder the newspaper gave Hawarden high praise.
