Overview

On the Rhymney Line, Heath High Level Station serves the Heath district of Cardiff, along with Heath Low Level Station. Opened in 1915, its two platforms handle nearly half a million passengers every year.

Heath lies to the north of Cardiff and is seen as a very affluent area. The large detached, Victorian houses, set in secluded all-round gardens, are fronted by wide, tree-lined roads. In the middle of Heath is the 100 acres Heath Park, all that remains of the open countryside that once covered this region. It’s a lovely place for a day out with the family, enjoying a walk or having a picnic.
