Overview

The town of Pembroke Dock in Pembrokeshire is served by the station of the same name, opened in 1864. The small fishing town was dominated by the former Royal Navy Dockyard, which still has many of its original buildings along the coastline.

The station itself is quaintly pretty, constructed from local stone, with some of the main building becoming The Station Inn, a highly popular real ale pub. Seeing nearly 50,000 visitors arriving and departing annually, the town of Pembroke Dock has a number of independent boutique stores, alongside the usual high street retailers, and is a lovely place for a meal.
