Overview
Opened in 1933 by the Great Western Railway, Penhelig station serves the holiday resort of Aberdovey, or Aberdyfi as it's known in Welsh. Situated between two tunnels on the Cambrian Coast line, the station opened in 1933 and underwent a major reconstruction in 2018.
Popular with families and watersports enthusiasts, Aberdovey’s beaches are sandy and gently slope towards the sea, while walkers enjoy the beautiful countryside surrounding the town. With a rich history, a thriving arts scene, and friendly locals, this is an area well worth visiting.
