Overview
Serving the area of Cardiff with the same name, Radyr Station is close to the low lying River Taff that runs through the stunning country park. Opened in 1883, the three platforms see more than half a million passengers annually.
Originally transporting coal from the area, with the industry's decline, the station gradually lost the four lines that passed through it. However, it's now a busy commuter station with trains every ten minutes to Cardiff, taking just over 15 minutes to reach Cardiff Central.
