Update: Incident due to a fault with the signalling system earlier today between Abercynon (ACY) and Aberdare Platform 1 (ABA) until 20:30.

Due to a fault with the signalling system earlier today between Abercynon (ACY) and Aberdare Platform 1 (ABA):

Services may be delayed by up to 10 minutes.

Services may be cancelled in both directions between Abercynon (ACY) and Aberdare Platform 1 (ABA).

We expect the incident to last until 20:30 and disruption to services is expected until 21:30.

What's Happened?

We have been made aware of a signalling problem affecting a set of points which switch trains between tracks at Abercynon.

For safety, train services will be running more slowly than normal through the area, with residual delays of around 10 minutes to be expected.

Our colleagues at Amey Infrastructure are aware of the problem and Technicians are currently en route to the affected area.

We will publish more information here, once we have received an update from the infrastructure technicians.

We have made a request for you to use Stagecoach to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost. Please check back shortly for confirmation.

Update: Incident due to a shortage of train drivers between Llandudno (LLD) and Blaenau Ffestiniog (BFF) until the end of the day.

Due to a shortage of train drivers between Llandudno (LLD) and Blaenau Ffestiniog (BFF):

Services will be cancelled in both directions between Llandudno (LLD) and Blaenau Ffestiniog (BFF).

We expect the incident to last until the end of the day and disruption to services is expected from 19:10 until the end of the day.

What's Happened?

Due to a shortage of train drivers, all services on our Llandudno to Blaenau Ffestiniog route will be cancelled in both directions until the end of the day.

Alternative Travel Options:

We have organised buses to run between Llandudno and Blaenau Ffestiniog to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at Llandudno at approximately 19:10 and at Blaenau Ffestiniog at approximately 20:38 provided by Llew Jones.

These arrangements are in place on services until the end of the day.

Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

Update: Incident due to a fault on a train between Llanharan (LLR) and Bridgend (BGN) until 19:30.

Due to a fault on a train between Llanharan (LLR) and Bridgend (BGN):

Services may be delayed by up to 30 minutes.

We expect the incident to last until 19:30 and disruption to services is expected until 19:30.

What's Happened?

Following a train fault on one of our services between Llanharan and Bridged, services are now able to run.

Residual delays and cancellation expected until normal service resumes.

Our 17:27 service from Swansea to Cardiff Central has been cancelled. Rail replacement will be provided for this service by AC Jenkins and Francis.

Due to the late running of our Milford Haven service following this incident, our 18:40 Haverfordwest service to Milford Haven will be cancelled. Rail replacement will be provided by Evans.

Our 19:01 Milford Haven to Haverfordwest service is also cancelled. Rail replacement will be provided by Evans.

You can use your rail ticket on the bus at no extra cost.

Please note, road transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

These arrangements are in place on services until 19:00

If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
