Kids go free on our trains
Under 11’s can travel for free at any time on our services. Under 16’s can travel for free off-peak when accompanied by a fare paying adult.
How it works
- Free child travel is only available in Standard class.
- Up to two children can travel for free, per paying adult. Adults must obtain a ticket for all children before travelling.
- Adult tickets can be purchased before the day of travel.
- Under 5’s travel for free on all National Rail services.
- Children aged 5-16 travel for free on TfW trains only.
Where to buy
Free child travel tickets are only available from a station ticket office or on-board from a conductor.

16 - 25 Railcard
