Due to a fire next to the track between Grangetown (GTN) and Penarth (PEN):

Services will be delayed by up to 20 minutes.

Services may be cancelled at Grangetown (GTN).

We expect the incident to last until 11:00 and disruption to services is expected from 09:54 until 13:00.

Customers can use local bus services between Cardiff and Penarth to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost:

  • Service 92 with Cardiff Bus.

Update: Incident due to a shortage of train crew between Carmarthen (CMN) and Pembroke Dock (PMD) until 18:00.

Due to a shortage of train crew between Carmarthen (CMN) and Pembroke Dock (PMD):

Services may be cancelled in both directions between Carmarthen (CMN) and Pembroke Dock (PMD).

We expect the incident to last until 18:00 and disruption to services is expected from 11:30 until 18:00.

Due to a shortage of train crew, fewer trains are able to run between Carmarthen and Pembroke Dock between 11:30 and 18:00.

Our services between Carmarthen and Pembroke Dock are disrupted in both directions.

We expect the incident to be cleared by 18:00. Train services will be disrupted until 18:00.

Alternative Travel Options:

We have organised buses to run between Swansea/Carmarthen and Pembroke Dock and to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at approximately:

Swansea/Carmarthen to Pembroke Dock

  • 11:45 Carmarthen calling all stops to Pembroke Dock, provided by Coracle.
  • 14:00 Carmarthen calling all stops to Pembroke Dock, provided by Davies and Glyns.
  • 14:58 Swansea calling all stops to Carmarthen. This service will then set down customers as required to Pembroke Dock.

Pembroke Dock to Carmarthen/Swansea

  • 14:07 Pembroke Dock calling all stops to Swansea, provided by Coracle.
  • 16:07 Pembroke Dock calling all stops to Swansea, provided by Davies and Glyns.
  • 18:16 Pembroke Dock calling all stops to Swansea, provided by Cymru and Davies.

These arrangements are in place on services until 18:00

Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

Due to a shortage of train crew, services between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury Services may be cancelled in both directions between Aberystwyth (AYW) and Shrewsbury (SHR).

We expect the incident to last until 10:30 and disruption to services is expected until 10:30.

Alternative Travel Options

We have organised buses to run between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will depart Machynlleth heading towards Aberystwyth at approximately 08:49 and depart Machynlleth heading towards Shrewsbury at 10:55 provided by Lloyds Coaches.

These arrangements are in place on services until 12:00

Road Transport will take longer than rail services.

Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

Due to a shortage of train crew between Swansea (SWA) and Shrewsbury (SHR):

We expect the incident to last until 15:00 and disruption to services is expected from 08:53 until 15:00.

Due to a shortage of train crew, fewer trains are able to run between Swansea and Shrewsbury via the Heart of Wales between 08:53 and 15:00 today (19/07/2026).

As a result, the following amendments have been made:

  • 08:53 Swansea to Shrewsbury (via the Heart of Wales) will start at Llandrindod.
  • 09:43 Shrewsbury to Swansea (via the Heart of Wales) will terminate at Llandrindod.
  • 11:05 Swansea to Shrewsbury (via the Heart of Wales) will terminate at Llandrindod.
  • 12:08 Shrewsbury to Swansea (via the Heart of Wales) will start at Llandrindod.

Our services between Swansea and Shrewsbury via the Heart of Wales are disrupted in both directions.

We expect the incident to be cleared by 15:00. Train services will be disrupted until 15:00.

Alternative Travel Options:

We have organised buses to run between Swansea and Shrewsbury to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at:

  • Swansea at approximately 08:53 calling all stops to Llandrindod provided by Gower. Customers can alight at Llandrindod to connect with replacement road transport calling all stops to Shrewsbury, provided by AC Jenkins.
  • Llandrindod at approximately 11:40 calling all stops to Swansea, operated by Gower.
  • Llandrindod at approximately 13:45 calling all stops to Shrewsbury, operated by Keanes and TNS.
  • Shrewsbury at approximately 12:08 calling all stops to Llandrindod, operated by Keanes and TNS. Customers can alight at Llandrindod to connect with replacement road transport calling all stops to Swansea, provided by AC Jenkins.

These arrangements are in place on services until 15:00

Due to checking reports of an obstruction on the line between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Heath High Level (HHL):

Services will be delayed by up to 15 minutes.

Services will be cancelled in both directions between Cardiff Queen Street (CDQ) and Caerphilly (CPH).

We expect the incident to last until further notice and disruption to services is expected from 13:00 until 16:00.

Services are now returning to normal. We're sorry for the disruption to your journey today.
