Services will be cancelled in both directions between Liverpool South Pw Ll (LPY) and Liverpool Lime Street (LIV).
We expect the incident to last until 07:45 and disruption to services is expected until 07:45 on 07/08/2026.
What's Happened?
Due to a fault on this train the 05:42 Service from Chester to Liverpool Lime Street is terminating at Liverpool South Parkway.
The 06:46 Service from Liverpool Lime Street to Chester is also starting from Liverpool South Parkway.

- Merseyrail between Chester and Liverpool Lime Street in both directions.

What's Happened?
For safety, train services will be running more slowly than normal through the area at Helsby between Chester and Manchester Airport, with residual delays of around 20 minutes to be expected.
Please continue to travel as planned, but expect delays and cancellations on your journey.
