Croeso to your T Network
One network. One timetable. One ticket. One team
In 2021, when the Welsh Government published Llwybr Newydd: the Wales Transport Strategy. It set Wales on a new path to travelling more sustainably, helping reduce emissions to net zero by 2050 to combat the climate emergency. Increasing the number of journeys we all take by active travel (walking, wheeling or cycling) or public transport by 45% by 2040 is a strategic goal.
At TfW, we want to be Wales’ favourite way to travel. That’s why we’re building an integrated multimodal transport network called the T Network - a joined-up network of trains, buses, walking, wheeling and cycling.
It will be a network that’s functional and easy to use. With one timetable to plan your journey and one ticket to get you from A to B. It will be a network run by one dedicated team.
It will be a network for all. A network that will be open, affordable and accessible - whether you’re commuting to work, going shopping or enjoying a family daytrip to the beach.
We’ve researched multimodal transport networks from around the world. We know the best integrated transport networks have a simple, functional way of letting people plan, pay for and travel door to door.
We’re confident we’re building a transport network fit for Wales’ future, unified by the T icon. Whenever you see it, you’ll know it’s a beacon for reliable travel in Wales.
