Our 2026 graduate scheme roles
Bus Project Management
You’ll help us make bus services work better in Wales. It’s a crucial part of our plans to build an integrated, multimodal transport network that meets people’s needs.
You’ll be involved with planning bus services that best serve local communities, as well as ticketing, fleet and depot projects. You’ll also rotate into different teams to broaden your experience and help you get the most out of your placement.
Bus Network Planning
You'll be part of bus reform in Wales as we roll out franchising across the country over the next few years. Join our project management teams as they consider all aspects of the changes, from customer and stakeholder engagement to technology, vehicles and much more. You’ll help build and implement the project plans needed for this exciting shift in bus transport in Wales.
Customer Operations
You'll support the Station Manager and Head of Customer Operations delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the high safety standards expected throughout our network.
You'll work closely with station colleagues to ensure facilities are safe, clean and well-maintained for customers. You’ll assist with training and competency assessments and contribute to business cases and service improvements.
You’ll also get involved with Station Adoption schemes, resource planning, events, early talent promotion and engagement with internal and external stakeholders to drive projects forward.
Commercial
You’ll help shape our strategy and drive our commercial success. You’ll support us with delivering cost-effective initiatives, services and projects that align with our goal of creating lasting positive change for the people of Wales.
IT and Digital Services
You’ll help us create an easy-to-use digital space where our customers can plan and pay for their journeys. You’ll help us build robust IT systems with streamlined processes and drive innovation that ensures our digital platforms are reliable, efficient and secure.
You’ll experience cyber security, software development, business analysis, data engineering and more. You’ll work on live projects, gain technical and business skills and get support from mentors to grow your expertise and make a real impact on Wales’ digital future
Operations
You’ll gain valuable experience across a wide range of our operations. You’ll help us provide the best experience for our customers with transport services that are safe and on-time, with capacity that meets demand.
You’ll work across different teams to understand how our railway works for both customers and frontline colleagues. You’ll learn about the challenges the network faces and how we act as one team to do the right thing for our customers.
Systems Safety Engineering
You’ll contribute to key projects, such as infrastructure works to build the South Wales Metro or crucial maintenance that keeps our railway safe.
You'll help us plan and deliver works including station improvements and other rail and bus projects. You’ll gain hands-on experience in project work, stakeholder engagement and risk management.
Transport Planning
You’ll help us evaluate solutions to transport-related problems and plan projects that inspire people to change the way they travel and deliver value for Welsh public money.
You’ll be involved with building business cases for proposed transport projects by consulting closely with local people, communities, stakeholders and local authorities. You’ll make it easier for people in Wales to travel by train, bus, walking and cycling.
