What's Happened?
Network Rail have reported on an obstruction on the line between Warrington Bank Quay and Manchester Airport and closed the railway to all services.
You cannot travel - there are no trains running and we are unable to run Rail Replacement Bus services.
This affects our services between Chester and Manchester Airport via Newton-le-Willows.
Alternative Travel Options
Your ticket can be used on the following alternative routes to help you complete your journey,, customers can use their tickets between Chester and Manchester Piccadilly via Crewe at no extra cost on Transport For Wales services.
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.

What's Happened?
We have been made aware of an object caught in the overhead wires on the line at Abercynon. For safety, train services are unable to run through the area. Our colleagues at Amey Infrastructure are aware and staff are currently en route to the affected area. We will publish more information here, once we have received an update from Network Rail.
