What's Happened?
We have been made aware of a signalling problem affecting a set of points which switch trains between tracks at Chester.
For safety, train services will be required to use alternate tracks when entering and departing Chester station, with delays of around 40 minutes to be expected.
Please note this only affects train services travelling from Holyhead to Shrewsbury. Holyhead to Manchester Airport services are unaffected but may also experience delays due to increased congestion.
