Due to a safety inspection of the track between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Penarth (PEN):
Services will be delayed by up to 20 minutes.
Services may be cancelled in both directions between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Penarth (PEN).
We expect the incident to last until the end of the day and disruption to services is expected from 11:29 until the end of the day.
What's Happened?
We have been made aware of a broken rail between Penarth and Cardiff Central.
For safety, train services will be running more slowly than normal through the area, with residual delays of around 20 minutes to be expected.
Our colleagues at Network Rail are aware of the problem and Technicians are currently en route to the affected area of track.
We will publish more information here, once we have received an update from the infrastructure technicians.
