Overview
The Dyfi Valley that the Cambrian Line passes through is simply stunning, and passengers on the way to Machynlleth Station are treated to views of wooded slopes and quaint grey stone cottages before pulling into the small station. The two platforms lead to the solidly built, slate-roofed station buildings.
Opened in 1863, many of the 130,000 annual visitors are walkers wishing to explore the beautiful countryside.
