Update: Incident due to signalling staff being unavailable between Llandudno (LLD) and Blaenau Ffestiniog (BFF) until the end of the day.

Due to signalling staff being unavailable between Llandudno (LLD) and Blaenau Ffestiniog (BFF):

Services will be cancelled in both directions between Llandudno (LLD) and Blaenau Ffestiniog (BFF).

We expect the incident to last until the end of the day and disruption to services is expected from 13:30 until the end of the day.

What's Happened?

We have been made aware of signalling staff being unavailable at Tal-y-Cafn.

As a result, train services will not be able to run through the area until tomorrow.

Alternative Travel Options:

We have organised buses to run between Llandudno and Blaenau Ffestiniog to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at Llandudno Junction at approximately 14:05 travelling towards Blaenau Ffestiniog provided by Llew Jones.

These arrangements are in place on services until the end of day.

Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

We estimate the following departure times for the replacement buses:

14:38 Departing Blaenau Ffestiniog to Llandudno

16:10 Departing Llandudno to Blaenau Ffestiniog

17:38 Departing Blaenau Ffestiniog to Llandudno

19:10 Departing Llandudno to Blaenau Ffestiniog

20:38 Departing Blaenau Ffestiniog to Llandudno

Due to a fault with the signalling system between Port Talbot Parkway (PTA) and Swansea (SWA):

Services may be delayed by up to 10 minutes.

We expect the incident to last until 18:00 and disruption to services is expected until 18:00.

What's Happened?

We have been made aware of a fault with the signalling system between Port Talbot Parkway and Swansea,

Until the signalling system is working normally our services between Port Talbot Parkway and Swansea will be delayed through the affected area.

Please travel as planned but expect a short delay to your journey.

Update: Incident due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Cheltenham Spa (CNM) until 20:00.

Due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Cheltenham Spa (CNM):

Services will be cancelled in both directions between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Cheltenham Spa (CNM).

We expect the incident to last until 20:00 and disruption to services is expected from 08:10 until 20:00.

What's Happened?

Due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time, fewer trains are able to run between Cardiff Central and Cheltenham Spa.

If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.

09:40 Cheltenham Spa To Cardiff Central provided by Teulu Travel.

11:10 Cardiff Central to Cheltenham Spa provided by Teulu Travel.

12:40 Cheltenham Spa To Cardiff Central provided by Teulu Travel.

14:10 Cardiff Central to Cheltenham Spa provided by Teulu Travel.

15:40 Cheltenham Spa To Cardiff Central provided by Teulu Travel.

17:10 Cardiff Central to Cheltenham Spa provided by Teulu Travel.

18:40 Cheltenham Spa To Cardiff Central provided by Teulu Travel.

These arrangements are in place on services until 21:00.

Due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time between Newport (South Wales) (NWP) and Ebbw Vale Town (EBB):

Services will be cancelled in both directions between Newport (South Wales) (NWP) and Ebbw Vale Town (EBB).

We expect the incident to last until 23:59 and disruption to services is expected from 05:00 until 23:59.

What's Happened?

Due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time, services between Newport and Ebbw Vale Town will be cancelled. We expect the incident to last until the end of the day.

Please note that services between Ebbw Vale Town and Maesteg are not affected.

  • Route 151 provided by Stagecoach South Wales between Newport and Newbridge via Pye Corner, Rogerstone, Pontymister, Risca and Crosskeys.
