If shopping is your thing, a visit to the Queen’s Arcade will satisfy even the most determined, take in St David’s too, and all bases are covered. Both house a wide range of high street stores alongside some designer exclusives. However, if you’re after something more unusual, the gorgeous architecture of the city’s Victorian arcades hides a wealth of artisan boutiques. Quaint storefronts showcase beautiful handcrafted pieces - handmade jewellery, studio glass and art pottery, the perfect gift for someone, or something special for yourself! 

For family days out, head for the exciting Cardiff International White Water. Offering exhilarating water sports, such as white water rafting and the challenge of paddleboarding, this will keep big and small kids happy. As will the Skate Plaza, but with a drier result! The Techniquest centre, with fully interactive scientific experiments, encourages a more educational, but no less fun, approach, and is well worth a visit.
