Due to urgent repairs to the track between Caldicot (CDT) and Chepstow (CPW):
Services will be cancelled in both directions between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Cheltenham Spa (CNM).
We expect the incident to last until the end of the day and disruption to services is expected until the end of the day.
What's Happened?
We have been made aware of a broken rail between Caldicot and Chepstow.
For safety, train services will not be able to run through the area until it has been fixed.
Our colleagues at Network Rail/Amey Infrastructure are aware of the problem and technicians are currently en route to the affected area of track.
We will publish more information here, once we have received an update from the infrastructure technicians.

Alternative Travel Options
Your ticket can be used on the following alternative routes to help you complete your journey, with the Train Operating Companies listed below at no extra cost:
- CrossCountry between Bristol Temple Meads and Cheltenham Spa in both directions
- Great Western Railway services between Cardiff Central and Cheltenham Spa via Bristol Parkway
These arrangements are in place on services until the end of the day.
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
Alternative Travel Options:
We have limited road transport at Cardiff Central running between Cardiff Central and Gloucester provided by Forge Travel to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost this will arrive at Cardiff Central at approximately 20:30,
Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
