This site hosts consultations run by AIW in respect of the role it undertakes as Infrastructure Manager for the railway network running from Cardiff to Treherbert, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil, Coryton, Rhymney and Cwmbargoed (known as the Core Valleys Lines).
The Core Valley Lines network was transferred from Network Rail to Transport for Wales on 28 March 2020. Transport for Wales lease the assets to AIW who are Infrastructure Manager for the Core Valley Lines network.
