From rail to trail: A walker’s weekend in Harlech

Branwen Path - The two-mile Branwen path is the perfect way to discover Harlech, taking you through Harlech’s steep hills and winding lanes before reaching the Edwardian Harlech Castle. If after that you want to continue, you can follow the walk to ‘Morfa Harlech’, where you can enjoy a breathtaking stretch of coast with magnificent beaches and mountain scenery.

Wales Coast Path - Did you know that you can access the Wales Coast Path from Harlech? Take the path towards Pensarn to enjoy views of the coast and country. If you’re looking for a longer walk, you can walk the 12 miles on to the village of  Dyffryn Ardudwy, a perfect visit for history lovers. Both routes have rail stations, which give the option to travel back to Harlech by train either at the end of your walk, or before.
