The Abergavenny Food Festival is an annual food celebration held across the town of Abergavenny. There are four curated venues around the town: the Market Hall, Upper Brewery Yard, Lower Brewery Yard and Abergavenny Castle, where over 200 exhibitors will serve up some delicious bwyd/food.
World-class chefs, local food vendors and more are set to show off their latest creations from savoury dishes that tantalise your taste buds to tasty treats. There will also be a thrilling programme of food debates, talks, and lectures.
When is the Abergavenny Food Festival?
The Abergavenny Food Festival is generally held on the third weekend in September.
In 2026, it’s on the weekend of Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September.
The full lineup and tickets are released in July, with further announcements up until the event.
About the Abergavenny Food Festival
Abergavenney Food Festival was founded in 1999 by two local farmers, Chris Wardle and Martin Orbach. Dubbed the “Glastonbury of Food Festivals” by the Observer Food Monthly, the festival attracts thousands of foodies each year, and has featured some big names over the years like Matt Tebbutt and Olly Smith, Cyrus Todiwala, Andi Oliver, and many more.
