Due to animals on the railway between Porthmadog (PTM) and Pwllheli (PWL):
Services may be delayed by up to 60 minutes.
Services may be cancelled in both directions between Porthmadog (PTM) and Pwllheli (PWL).
We expect the incident to last until 15:00 and disruption to services is expected until 15:00.
What's Happened?
We have been made aware of animals on the line between Porthmadog and Pwllheli.
For safety, train services are unable to run through the area.
Our colleagues at Network Rail are aware and staff are currently en route to the affected area.
We will publish more information here, once we have received an update from Network Rail.
Alternative Travel Options
You can use the following local bus services to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost:
- Route 3 provided by Caelloi between Porthmadog and Pwllheli.

We have organised buses to run between Porthmadog and Pwllheli to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will be provided by Coelloi and Clynnog

Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
