We regret that due to issues with air conditioning on our older fleets, some services between Cardiff Central and Manchester Piccadilly will be cancelled. If affected you may use the 2 services before or after the cancelled services.

What's Happened?
Due to forecasted severe weather we are unable to run trains between Swansea and Shrewsbury on our Heart of Wales line until the end of the day.

Services will be cancelled in both directions between Shrewsbury (SHR) and Birmingham International (BHI).
We expect the incident to last until 00:00 on 14/08/2026 and disruption to services is expected until 00:00 on 14/08/2026.
We regret that due to issues with air conditioning on our older fleets, Transport for Wales services will not run between Shrewsbury and Birmingham International. You may use your ticket on West Midlands Railway services at no extra cost.

Due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time between Llandudno (LLD) and Blaenau Ffestiniog (BFF):
Services will be cancelled in both directions between Llandudno (LLD) and Blaenau Ffestiniog (BFF).
We expect the incident to last until 00:00 on 14/08/2026 and disruption to services is expected until 06:30 on 14/08/2026.

Replacement road transport supplied by Llew Jones will replace most services between Llandudno and Blaenau Ffestiniog at no extra cost.
Departures from Llandudno at 0750, 1010, 1310,1610, 1910.
Departures from Blaenau Ffestiniog at 0620, 0840, 1140 1440, 1740, 2010.
Approximate journey times are 15 minutes Llandundo to Llandudno Junction and 80 minutes Llandundo Junction to Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Please note other train services will operate between Llandundo and Llandudno Junction.
