Update: Incident due to a broken down train at Flint (FLN) until 16:00.

Due to a broken down train at Flint (FLN):

Services may be delayed by up to 50 minutes.

Services may be cancelled in both directions between Chester (CTR) and Holyhead (HHD).

We expect the incident to last until 16:00 and disruption to services is expected from 12:10 until 17:00.

What's Happened?

A train has broken down at Flint meaning services in the area are subject to disruption and may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Our maintenance team are currently in contact with train crew working to rectify the problem.

We will publish more information here, once we have received an update from our maintenance team.

Alternative Travel Options:

We have organised buses at Chester and Flint to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at approximately 12:45 and are provided by Keanes Coaches.

These arrangements are in place on services until 16:00.

Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

Due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Cheltenham Spa (CNM):

Services will be cancelled in both directions between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Cheltenham Spa (CNM).

We expect the incident to last until the end of the day and disruption to services is expected from 06:10 until the end of the day.

What's Happened?

Due to a shortage of trains, fewer trains are able to run between Cardiff Central and Cheltenham Spa in both direcioins.

We apologise for the disruption caused to your journey.

Alternative Travel Options

Your ticket can be used on the following alternative routes to help you complete your journey, with the Train Operating Companies listed below at no extra cost:

These arrangements are in place on services until the end of the day

If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.

We have organised buses to run between Cardiff Central and Cheltenham Spa in both directions to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. With this road replacement transport being provided by Cymru Coaches, Ferris Coaches and Teulu.
