Due to a speed restriction over defective track between Wrexham Central (WXC) and Bidston (BID):
Services may be delayed by up to 30 minutes.
We expect the incident to last until 13:00 and disruption to services is expected until 15:00.
What's Happened?
We have been made aware of a broken rail at Upton.
For safety, train services will be running more slowly than normal through the area, with residual delays of around 30 minutes to be expected.
Our colleagues at Network Rail are aware of the problem and Technicians are currently on site at the affected area of track.
We will publish more information here, once we have received an update from the infrastructure technicians.
Services on our Wrexham Central/Wrexham General to Bidston route are affected. The affected rail has now been assessed and we are able to run some services along the route. Expect further cancellations and delays of up to 30 minutes in both directions.
Alternative Travel Options:
